-The ditch in the plain is 300m from the castle.

It borders the property.

This is the feeder channel for the Canal du Midi, built in the 17th century. It carries water from the Montagne Noire, from the Saint Férréol lake to the Canal du Midi.

The walk can take you, for example, to the Seuil de Naurouze or in the other direction to the small lake of Cammazes.


The Naurouze Threshold is 7km away.

Watershed: The waters of the Montagne Noire, carried by the canal from the plain, have been flowing into the Canal du Midi for more than three centuries; Part of the water flows towards the Atlantic, the other part towards the Mediterranean.

Arboretum and famous avenue of 61 plane trees planted in 1809.

A marvel of civil engineering and human will, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. Numerous guided tours are offered by the Tourist Office.

A haven of coolness in summer. Discover the castles of Saissac and Lastours. Montolieu, the village of books, the Cammazes dam, the Lampy lakes...

The Vauban vault and the Alzeau intake (source of the Rigole de la Plaine), a magnificent place with a very good restaurant!
